Part of the Numbered Collection
The Numbered Collection developed from abstract shapes and forms, drawn from what feels to me like subconscious memory of ‘the beginning’. “No soul could have spoken of the universe’s origin since no one could have existed to witness it,” said poet Ken Chen, yet I feel it as an energy. This particulate artwork (Number X) is inspired by the beautiful picture taken from one of my trip to Poland. There was expressive empty horizon with factory building at the long distance... the sky was almost bright blue, but the small amount of clouds formed the shapes around the factory chimneys. It was an extraordinary, poetic view.
